Class two is ready and it’s a big bear: children’s poems from 1600s to the 2000s!
I talked to a few non-poets about how best to begin this series and they seemed to agree that the first poetry we were all exposed to is the defacto beginning of poetry for all of us, no matter when we were born.
You think you’ve outgrown these things? Think again. These poems still have a lot to teach us about American ideas and about growing up. (And we all have more growing up to do!).
